Gravely Sickle Bar Mower Wear Tip Button Kit
The wear tip is installed on the wedge shaped lower end of the actuating arm with a 1/4" hardened bolt. It provided a bearing like surface to work against the 1-1/8" wide pocket of the slide block wear bracket mounted to the sickle blade bar.
I've seen many sickle mowers without this tip and it hammers out the slide block wear bracket along with the end of the actuator arm. If this is your situation, install this tip before it cost you much more to repair.
This wear tip is made from grade 4140 steel, hardened, then given a grind finish on the wear surface for smooth operation.
This is an equivalent replacement of the OEM item #3182.
Supplied as a kit, included with the wear tip, the needed grade 8 bolt and washer for mounting.
